First Words

This live online class gives your child lots of exposure to words that are commonly some of the first words children say, such as "mommy, daddy, ball, hi, bye, yes, no, dog, baby, banana, eat, drink, more, done, go, help, open, walk, run, play, jump, cow, fish, duck, cat, milk, cookie, water, juice, apple, cereal, book, bubbles, tree, sun, shoes, hot, in, on, up, down, please, thank you, me, you, big, little, car, bed". Help your child learn to say these common words by hearing them and watching the teacher say them, with lots of repetition, while enjoying fun videos. First words typically begin around 12 months of age and many children can say 50 or more words at 18-24 months. This class is for any child of any age who is learning first words. Mondays and Saturdays at 6:00pm EST/3:00pm PST.




Pointing to Pictures

This live online class provides lots of opportunities for the whole class to "Point to ____". We will also demonstrate the correct response with a big red arrow. It's great if Mom or Dad will also demonstrate the correct response by pointing to the picture on the screen and taking your child's hand to assist in pointing to the picture. Pointing to pictures is called identifying. Typically children begin to identify pictures and objects around 12-15 months and can identify many common items, body parts, animals, foods, clothing, and furniture by 18-24 mo:nths. This class is for any child of any age who is learning to identify common pictures and objects. Sundays at 11:00am EST/8:00am PST and Tuesdays at 6:00pm EST/3:00pm PST.




Early Developing Sounds

This live online class provides lots of opportunities for the class to hear, see, imitate, and produce early developing sounds: "/m/ as in "mama", /b/ as in "baby", /n/ as in "no", /w/ as in "water", /d/ as in "daddy", /p/ as in "pot", and /h/ as in "hot". Help your child learn to say these sounds correctly, by hearing them and watching the teacher say them, with lots of repetition, while enjoying fun videos and activities. Typically children learn to say these sounds correctly by around 2 years of age. This class is for any child of any age who is learning to correctly pronounce early developing sounds (m, b, n, w, d, p, h). Tuesdays and Saturdays at 7:15pm EST/4:15pm PST.



Following Simple Directions

This live online class provides your child lots of opportunities all together with classmates to follow simple 1-2 step directions, such as "close your eyes, open your eyes, raise your hand, smile, clap your hands, stand up, sit down, point to ____." Typically children begin to follow simple directions such as "come here" or "give it to me" at around 10-12 months, and by 18 months they can follow most simple 1-step directions including pointing to some body parts, animals, foods and toys upon request. By 24 months many children can follow 2-step directions such as "point to the cat and then point to the dog". This class is for any child of any age who is learning to follow simple directions. Sundays at 11:30am EST/8:30am PST and Thursdays at 6:30pm EST/3:30pm PST.


Expanding Vocabulary

This live online class provides lots of opportunities for the class to name and repeat more early developing vocabulary words and phrases, such as "please, thank you, hello, again, sorry, uh-oh, okay, wash, kiss, open, close, push, pull, fix, broke, play, I want, help, hug, love, kiss, hurt, give, all gone, all done, dance, fall, shake, see, watch, look, sit, stand up, throw it, catch it, blow, cry, swing, slide, climb, ride, rock, come here, off, on, here, there, under, big, little, hot, cold, loud, quiet, yucky, funny, silly, clean, dirty, gentle, wet, dry, hard, soft, fast, slow" as well as colors, numbers, animals, toys, foods, clothing, and furniture. Typically by 24 months children can say 50-200 words. This class is for any child of any age who is learning to expand early vocabulary. Mondays and Saturdays at 6:30pm EST/3:30pm PST.
